Hope of Every Promise
04:44
|
|||
Verse 1
What voice contains the pow’r to break the heart of stone?
With strength beyond the law of old to bring the exile home?
When faith gives way to lies, when love within grows cold,
When we would fall and wayward go, whose mighty word can hold?
Pre-Chorus
The Son, who is the full and final Word.
His glory song forever shall be heard:
Chorus 1
Come and worship Christ the King, He is worthy!
The hope of every promise made before.
His voice upholds the universe, it holds our wav’ring faith secure
our Christ, our anchor strong and sure – our only hope.
Verse 2
Whose life can stand in place for those who stand condemned?
Whose perfect blood poured once for all and hushed the law’s demands?
And who will plead for us when we again rebel,
Whose pow’r assures the hope of life, can silence death and hell?
P.C.
Our great high priest who was Himself the lamb.
Not one of His will ever leave His hand.
Chorus 2
Come and worship Christ the King, He is worthy!
The hope of every promise made before.
He is the well of all good things, His covenant will endless be,
our Christ who knows our ev’ry need – our only hope.
Verse 3
Now let us cling to Him, for Jesus is our rest.
Lay sin aside, behold your king, and run with confidence.
Our fount of faith and hope is Christ, who bore our shame.
He tasted death for all His own, His is the highest name!
Pre-chorus
In Him we have a kingdom none can shake.
Return, O King, for all Your people wait.
Chorus 3
Come and worship Christ the King, He is worthy!
The hope of every promise made before.
All will bow beneath His feet, the pow’r of death could not defeat
our Christ who reigns in majesty – our only hope.

Verse 1
To you, Lord, I cry aloud;
I am troubled, hands stretched out.
Hear my spirit faint and moan,
comfort my weary, silent soul;
I recall my song of old.
Verse 2
It’s your promises I seek,
has your love forever ceased?
Will you spurn, forget your grace?
Will you in anger hide Your face?
Has compassion lost its place?
Chorus
I will remember Your works and Your wonders.
Yes, I will remember all Your deeds.
Your love is forever, redeeming Your people.
And turning your face toward all their need.
Your way, O God, is holy.
Verse 3
I recall your mighty power,
Oh what god is great like ours?
You call captives into rest,
leading them in Your righteousness.
With your arm save from distress.
Verse 4
With a word you parted seas,
roamed the earth yet walked unseen,
poured out water, flashed forth light,
crashing the thunder from the skies,
shook the earth with your great might.

Verse 1
I do not ask to see the way
my feet will have to tread;
But only that my soul may feed
upon the living bread.
'Tis better far that I should walk
by faith close to His side,
I may not know the way I go,
but oh, I know my Guide.
Chorus:
His love can never fail,
His love can never fail;
My soul is satisfied to know
His love can never fail.
Verse 2
And if my feet would go astray,
they cannot, for I know
that Jesus guides my falt'ring steps
as joyfully I go.
And tho' I may not see His face,
my faith is strong and clear
that in each hour of sore distress
my Savior will be near.
Verse 3
I will not fear, tho' darkness come
abroad o'er all the land,
if I may only feel the touch
of His own loving hand.
And tho' I tremble when I think
how weak I am, how frail,
my soul is satisfied to know
His love can never fail.

Christ, Our Rest
04:56
|
|||
Verse 1
Oh to find our rest in Christ,
to own by faith what’s his by right.
We stand firm on ground unmoved,
His word will hold, His love is true.
All our wand’ring, all our striving
ends in Christ our final home.
None can sever us from Jesus,
ever we are His alone.
Chorus
Glory to Him our treasure now and evermore.
Join the song of the ages: “Our Jesus is Lord!”
For all of our days we will rest in the grace of Christ.
Verse 2
Oh to find our rest in Christ,
to know his love, how sweet, how wide.
See His love there on the tree,
see Him bear my curse for me.
There He beckons us to follow,
leave our burden, take our cross.
Ev’ry loss restored in thousands,
for His blood has paid the cost.
Verse 3
Oh to find our rest in Christ,
He our day within the night.
He will shine on broken hearts,
Christ, our light within the dark.
He can overwhelm the shadows;
darkness flees the radiant Son.
He will lead us into glory,
there to dwell in eternal sun.
End
All our wand’ring, all our striving,
ends in Christ our final home.
None can sever us from Jesus;
we will rest in Him alone.

Verse 1
We were strangers lost, orphans with no home,
and estranged from life and joy and peace,
running headlong bound for the wrath to come,
knowing not when misery would cease.
Then the voice of the Father called,
“Now turn to me, be saved.”
At Your Word, we awoke forever Yours
From the dead You have carried us
to lands of endless days
Where we feast on your goodness and your grace.
Oh, how good to know the Father,
to be rescued sons and daughters,
to be orphans saved to bear the Father’s name.
Verse 2
Now your matchless greatness, your boundless goodness
is for us, for the rest of time.
Every shadow falls, every sorrow comes,
every trial bears kindness to refine.
O great Father of glory, ev’ry gift is from Your hand;
in Your mercy You give and take away.
Those who cry with a crushed
and broken spirit You will save;
all Your children, they find in You their strength.
Oh how good to know the Father,
for his love unites with power;
with his mighty hand, He lifts the lowly head.
Verse 3
Father, take this life do what’er You choose,
form us into the image of Your Son.
Make us worthy of Christ, the risen one,
and the rich inheritance He won.
Cause Your greatness to shine through us,
bring glory to Your name.
Let Your Spirit transform our worldly deeds.
To Your kingdom we march
and for Your righteousness we pray;
set our hearts, fix our gaze on things above.
Oh how good to know the Father,
to be heirs with Christ, our brother
and to dwell forever in the love of God.

Verse 1
See the destined day arise,
see a willing sacrifice.
Jesus to redeem our loss
hangs upon the shameful cross;
Jesus, who but You could bear
wrath so great and justice fair?
Every pang and bitter throe,
finishing your life of woe?
Refrain
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Lamb of God for sinners slain!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Jesus Christ, we praise Your name!
Verse 2
Who but Christ had dared to drain,
steeped in gall, the cup of pain?
And with tender body bear thorns,
and nails, and piercing spear?
Slain for us, the water flowed,
mingled from your side with blood;
sign to all attesting eyes
of the finished sacrifice.
Verse 3
Holy Jesus, grant us grace
in that sacrifice to place
all our trust for life renewed,
pardoned sin, and promised good.
Grant us grace to sing your praise,
‘round your throne through endless days,
ever with the sons of light:
“Blessing, honor, glory, might!”
